I find incestual pairings to be a product of people who don’t really understand the difference between brotherly and romantic love. Really, people too immature (whether age-related or just emotionally) to realize that it’s simply not right in most cases. I’m not saying there isn’t a case or two where it was not perfectly acceptable, but even in those cases there has to be a level of emotional maturity for the two participants (aka; children raised in separate homes, step-children, ect). It’s something they have to work through themselves, and it’s not something that just happens to get your special places all happy… Rant over.

Reason why this is stupid: I have a sibling.

Translation: “Anyone who thinks consensual incest is okay isn’t intelligent enough to understand it’s not.”

Reason why this is stupid: Same argument can and has been applied to homosexuality, interracial relationships, and so-on. Does that tell you anything?

Translation: “Clearly people only ever ship things because they want to see the characters fuck/because they find them attractive. Totally not because maybe they have chemistry or maybe they want to see what it was like if these two/three/etc. characters were together instead of these two/three/etc.”

Reason why this is stupid: … Do I even have to provide a reason? Everyone knows this is really actually the stupidest thing right? Yes? Okay good.

Furthermore I like how you’re ranting about maturity but you can’t even bring yourself to refer to anything blatantly. You’re using words that skirt around actual things. It’s the same kind of contempt I hold for people who whisper about ‘feminine hygiene products’ and ‘times of month’ when referring to menstruation.

Just because something squicks you doesn’t mean it’s wrong. Homosexuality squicks some people, sex squicks some people, heterosexuality squicks some people, bondage squicks some people, you don’t see people screaming about how those are wrong and gross and if you like them you’re clearly just too immature to understand.

In summary: You don’t have the right to rant about maturity when you’re being incredibly immature yourself.
